Hi guys! Since its midsummer here in Australia, I thought it would be fun to talk about the products I’m loving most this season. Honestly, all these products are things I’ll be using all year round and there should be something here for everyone.
Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF 50+ Superscreen
My favourite sunscreen for several reasons! It’s SPF 50+ so it’s offering high protection, it has a slight tint to it so it doesn’t make you look chalky, it’s hydrating but lightweight, sits well under makeup and last but not least it’s not cheap but it is much more affordable than similar products. It also contains hyaluronic acid, nice!
Mecca Cosmetica Enlightened Illuminating Body Oil
A shimmering body oil that warms the skin subtly. It’s fast drying and I find the scent fades enough to be paired with perfume, so I like to throw some on to liven up my rather pale skin. It’s great on the legs and the glimmer it has isn’t too over the top. So far I’ve never had an issue with it getting on my clothes, which would be a dealbreaker.
The cutest, chicest blue I’ve ever seen. It’s a very clean, modern, dusty-blue and it always cheers me up when I wear it. Kester Black is a brand known for their ethics and their 10-free formulas, so I’m always really happy to support them. Their shade range is extensive, and I’ve loved every one that I’ve tried so far.
Ilia Essential Face Palette in Summer
I picked this up during a post-Christmas sale, and it’s such a handy palette from a clean beauty brand! The colours are very flattering, and because of the cream formula it works really well for skin that’s on the dehydrated side of the spectrum. This palette has two of their multi-stick shades and two illuminators. I use the colours all over in lots of different ways, and it’s perfect to travel with because then I don’t need to take highlighter, bronzer or blush! The shade ‘All of Me’ is beautiful on the lips too.
Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Air Dry Crème
I tend to be low maintenance with my hair styling, I avoid heat tools wherever possible so this affordable cream is perfect for managing my hair doing the summer. It’s lightweight, smells pleasant and I have a feeling the tube will last a long time.
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream (Pictured above)
My skin absolutely loves this moisturiser, and I think it’s especially great for the summer because it hydrates really well without leaving your skin feeling suffocated. I’ve definitely noticed a brightening effect, subtle but recognisable. I’ve already re-purchased because I don’t want to be without it!
That’s it for this week! Do you change your routine much between seasons?
