For Muses and Romantics: A holiday Gift Guide

This year’s gift guide involves me staying in my lane. My lane is the luscious, romantic, delicate lane. Spoil yourself or someone else, and find something that is thrilling and beautiful. Buckle up.

A Diptyque candle is a safe bet for any candle lover. My personal recommendation is one of their lovely gift sets. This year’s Lucky Charms Carousel features a beautiful spinning carousel candle topper and two gorgeous popular mini candles in Roses and Baies.

Makeup lovers would be delighted to receive a cult classic or special edition item, like this year’s offering from Hourglass, the Ambient Lighting Edit ‘Ghost’ or a lipstick by the incomparable Pat McGrath whose packaging makes for a gorgeous aesthetic to go with the rich, creamy, pigmented formula.

Pieces for lovers of minimal, maximal and the unknown. Thanks to brands that specialise in semi-fine jewellery, you can find affordable and gorgeous pieces for anyone. Here’s where I mention my own brand Pepperberry & Pine Studio, featured above, the Ocean Goddess gold-plated shell necklace and Baroque inspired holiday statement earrings in ‘Merriment’. Other brands I’m loving are Francesca, Daisy London and Cendré an Australian brand who’s designs draw inspiration from Parisienne chic. Featured above the ‘Femme’ necklace.

For the modern muse, for the classic romantic. From the much loved haircare brand Ouai comes a body care range with fresh bright scents. The body cleanser has floral and citrus notes, while the body creme has a surprisingly aquatic tone to my nose- with delicate flowers as well of course. Both are light leaving room to be layered with other fragrances. For a more romantic scent experience look no further than Jo Malone, who’s luscious, creative scents for any gender come in the most gorgeous packaging.

Good reads. A magazine subscription or a beautifully crafted, thrilling new novel makes a wonderful gift for readers. The First Time Lauren Pailing Died by Alyson Rudd is a story where every ending is a new beginning. Compulsively readable, whether you’re in the northern hemisphere and ready to curl up by the fire, or in the southern hemisphere in need of a beach read. For the Stationery lover you must see Milligram a stylish designer store for all notebook, fountain pen, diary and desk accessory needs. My personal pick is the very on-trend hardcover linen bound notebook in a delicious shade of burnt orange. It’s available in various sizes, lined or blank.

Keep an eye out for next week’s guide, featuring little treasures, perfect for secret Santa or stocking stuffers- Sounds a bit filthy, but alas, it isn’t.
